Their latest collaborative endeavor, The Ostara Project, took center stage in February 2022, showcasing a brilliant constellation of seven jazz luminaries, each an acclaimed composer and bandleader in her own right. The emergence of The Ostara Project serves as a profound symbol of the growing presence and influence of Canadian women in the realm of music.
The roster of past and present artists who have graced The Ostara Project includes an illustrious array of talent such as Allison Au, Rachel Therrien, Valerie Lacombe, Laila Biali, Shruti Ramani, Marianne Trudel, Virginia MacDonald, and others. This collective assembly boasts an impressive discography of over 20 albums and a remarkable tally of 9 JUNO nominations, 3 Montreal Jazz Festival Grand Prix awards, Western Canadian Music Awards and a multitude of other accolades.
The Ostara Project recently completed a successful Canadian Jazz Festival tour celebrating its inaugural JUNO-nominated album.
